Here’s What You Can Expect from the PHx Fashion Conference this November
Over the decade, Philippine fashion industry has solidified its presence in the country; however, entering the global business stage still remains a challenge.
The Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) and Fashion Design Council of the Philippines (FDCP) aim to address this gap through the upcoming PHx Fashion Conference. Happening this November 11-14 at the Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay City, the Conference seeks to equip the Philippine fashion industry in becoming globally competitive by bringing in local and international professionals.
On its first year, the Conference will particularly look into one of the leading fashion markets in the world, the Japanese market. “We have found partners in Japan who can provide the credible knowledge and information. But generally, the entire conference is really meant to open the eyes of everyone to the international market,” said Aranaz-Alunan, FDCP President.
To kick off this 4-day event, Panel Discussions will shed light on the present condition of the Philippine fashion industry and identify best practices to develop a well-equipped industry in the future. Creative Talks will also be delivered by renowned brands such as Carl Jan Cruz, ProudRace, Welcome Worldwide, and more.
Following an incredible launching, participants will get a chance to learn about the Japanese & International Markets, export costing & pricing, and trademarks through Workshops and Seminars.
Because entering the global business stage is not a one-brand job, the Fashion Ecosystem Dialogue will gather different government agencies to discuss their projects and activities, and to recognize how collaborative efforts enable the fashion industry to operate and excel.
Hyped by the impressive lineup? Wait, there’s more! 16 pre-selected designers and brands will get a chance to have their brands reviewed by the conference speakers in the Portfolio Review.
To top it all off, #PinoyPride will take over the Philippine Trade Training Center lobby as Fashion Connect: A Reverse Fair will feature local suppliers for fashion & wearables and fabric & material importers. Like-minded aspiring entrepreneurs, fashion enthusiasts, and artisans can grow their network in this 4-day Reverse Fair.
Don’t miss the chance to learn from and be inspired by internationally trained fashion designer CJ Cruz, ARANAZ Creative Director and FDCP President Amina Aranaz Alunan, DAMDAM Co-founder Giselle Go, and other fashion directors, designers, and entrepreneurs in the first ever PHx Fashion Conference!
