Course Description

ISO 22000: 2005 is an international standard that may be applied by any organization directly or indirectly involved in the food chain. The Standard assures that these organizations- “from farm to fork”- implement a system that controls or eliminates hazards in food.

In this Awareness Course, learn the requirements of a food safety management system that is based on/ aligned with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), its pre-requisite programs, and ISO 9000:2000 Quality Management System.

In general terms, the course is designed for participants to gain knowledge of an internationally accepted FSMS.

At the end of the course, the participants are expected to be able to:
• Appreciate the benefits of implementing FSMS in their respective companies;
• Acquire a basic understanding of FSMS concepts and the requirements of the Standard;
• Know what are necessary in setting up, implementing and maintaining an FSMS effectively
